Western Digital Data Center Drives
ULTRASTAR NVMe Series
Performance NVMe Ultrastar DC SN840 SSDs deliver extreme performance & ultra-low latency to the top tier of enterprise storage. With proven dual-port NVMe architecture, these drives are best suited for performance demanding platforms including HPC servers, mission-critical applications and workloads that require superior read/write performance and low latency.
Mainstream NVMe Ultrastar DC SN640 SSDs are optimized for consistent quality of service and low latency for mixed random read/write workloads commonly generated by top enterprise applications such as virtualization, OLTP, NoSQL, web servers, file servers and mail servers.

ULTRASTAR Memory Extension Drive
In-memory computing is used for real-time data processing, application caching, large-scale databases, and acceleration for the data-driven economy. Ultrastar memory drive scales up to 24TiB in a 1U server for use as virtualized memory without significant loss in application performance. The solution is transparent, requiring no changes to the existing operating systems or applications for near-DRAM performance.

ULTRASTAR HDDs
Western Digital has developed flash-enhanced drives with OptiNAND™ technology by vertically integrating the company’s leading NAND flash with its world-class HDDs.
OptiNAND integrates an iNAND® Universal Flash Storage (UFS) Embedded Flash Drive (EFD) with traditional spinning disk media, and incorporates innovative changes to the firmware algorithm and system-on-a-chip (SoC). OptiNAND is not a hybrid technology.
The 22TB/20TB Ultrastar DC HC570 and HC560 HDDs are the first commercial implementation of Energy-Assisted Magnetic Recording technology and utilize the industry’s first Triple Stage Actuator. These technologies, integrated with HelioSeal on a 9-disk platform, deliver the highest areal density and unmatched Total Cost of Ownership for customer and market needs.
